María Fernanda Agudelo Ganem is an architect, urban designer, teacher and co-founder of LoCS. She experiments with the notion of space as medium for research and teaching by confronting the actors and their agencies as active part of the processes and mechanism of spatial production.

She works with the concept of Critical Spatialities which brings to the fore questions about the interdependencies between natural, socio-political, ecological, economic processes and technology and the resulting spatial realities.

Here Critical means that all actors are involved in changing narratives thanks to tensions, conflicts, negotiations and transformations. Spatialities describes the dynamic and complex processes of interaction between physical space and the cultural and natural components that produce it.
