“Critical Urban Agenda is a compilation of several projects and a Blog that share the same goal of Rethinking the Urban towards a social and environmental transformation within the contemporary context of Planetary Urbanisation. The projects are NOT about efficiency or smart cities but about inducing systemic change. A global network of multi-disciplinary scientists, artists and urban practitioners are behind these projects”. more here
Different Urbanisations: 5-day LAB and Public Debate
“The LAB2 format combined discussion with hands-on activities as well as inputs from the participants’ own work and experiences. The topic was explored in three blocks:
1) import/export of Urban Patterns;
2) import/export of Technology; and
3) import/export of Knowledge.
Several recurrent issues emerged from the analyses, discussions and interpretations as being crucial for the implementation of any urban agenda. In the LAB2 publication, these issues are presented by the 10 invited participants as 10 entry points for an ‘on the ground’ implementation of ‘a’ New Urban Agenda”.
